Virginia Stephens

Virginia McHone Stephens, 93, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, John Leslie Stephens; grandson, John Stephens III; parents, James Rufus and Norna Lou Bryant McHone; one brother; four sisters; two half brothers; and one half sister. She is survived by her sons, Eston (Martha) Pickett, Alvarado, Texas, John (Carrie) Stephens Jr., Nashville; daughters, Nancy (Daniel) Fenton, Jasper, Tenn. and Gloria Sue Gudger, Chattanooga; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. CDT on Thursday, June 26, 2014, with Brother Carl Stevens and Brother Doyle Chamblee officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Springs Cemetery, in Bridgeport, Ala. The family will receive friends from 3 until 8 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
