Jennifer Rains

Jennifer Michelle Rains, 37, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in a local hospital after a 3 1/2 year battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She was born Sept. 8, 1976 in Chattanooga. Jennifer was a 1994 graduate of Notre Dame High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She was employed as a Portfolio Administrator for Patten and Patten Inc. for 15 years. Jennifer was an avid softball Mom who lived for her children. Survivors include her husband, Jason; children, Caitlin, Zoe, Emily, Savannah and Gabriel, all of Chattanooga; parents, Mike and Marcia Fryar, of Chattanooga; sisters, Alyssa Allison, of Chattanooga, and Kari Pace, of Georgia; grandparents, Mary Quick, Herbert Ford, Jack and Ellen Fryar, all of Chattanooga, Helen Belinc, of Michigan, and Jean and Frank Peterson Sr., of Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, June 28, at Lookout Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Massengill officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.
