Abe Levine

Abraham "Abe" Levine, 96, was reunited with his beloved wife, Willie Jo Levine, on Monday, June 23, 2014, when Abe peacefully and suddenly passed away. Winnie Jo Levine passed in her sleep on April 16, 2014. Married for 54 years, they were inseparable and lovingly devoted to the other. They simply couldnt live without each other! Abe was a World War II veteran honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1945 as Lt Cdr. After graduating with honors from UT-Chattanooga, he and his uncle purchased Murrays Grill in Chattanooga. He later opened and operated JoJos on Brainerd Road named after his wife. They retired and moved to Vero Beach, Fla., in 1986. Abe worked for the City of Vero Beach for 25 years until the end of April at age 96! JoJo was a devoted and doting wife. She had been actively involved with Beta Sigma Phi since the early 60s and had many wonderful BSP sorority sisters that she considered her family. Abe is survived by his daughter, Sharon LeVine, of Seattle, Wash., a sister, Mickey Leventhal, of Chattanooga; a nephew, Dr. Marvin (Kris) Leventhal of Memphis, Tenn.; a niece, Robin (Rob) Leventhal Piper of Chattanooga; and many close and special friends. At Abe and Jos request, no services will be held. Condolences may be left at http://www.lowtherfuneralhome.com.
