O.R. Crawley Jr.

Orsen "O.R." Crawley Jr., 94, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Erlanger Hosptial. O.R. was a longtime resident of Rhea County, a member of the First Baptist Church in Dayton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II, loved by his family and church and enjoyed farming and geneology research. Preceded in death by his parents, Orsen R. Crawley Sr. and Mary Ellen Shipley Crawley; his wife, Itzel Bell Crawley; four sisters, Ola Thornburg, Grace Francisco, Blanche Layne and Dorothy Thomas; four brothers, Auther, Herman, Fred and Lans Crawley. He is survived by one daughter, Brenda C. Logan of Hixson,Tenn.; one grandchild, Lori Howell; three great-grandchildren, Aust, Brandon and Caitlyn Howell; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. Interment in Rhea Memory Gardens.
