Carol Woodlee Welch, 85, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 1, 2014, at home. She was born in McMinnville, Tenn., and moved to Dayton during her high school years. She owned and operated My Lady Beauty Salon for many years, and was a faithful member of Dayton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne C. and Robin Jewell Woodlee of Dayton, formerly of McMinnville, her ex-husband, J.L. Welch. Survivors: a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and George Arnold of Dayton; two grandchildren, Krista (Rusty) Ray, Clayton Arnold and her three great-grandsons, Westin, Cale, and Keaton Ray; one brother, Wayne P. (Sydney) Woodlee, of Kingston, Tenn.; nephews, Scott Woodlee, of Kingston, Chris Woodlee, of Nashville; niece, Sally Houston, of Kingston; several nieces and nephews; several great-nephews and nieces and great-great-nephews. Memorial service 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Dayton Church of Christ with minister Steve Brown. visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
