Jackie "Papaw" Williams, 62 passed away on Saturday March 1, 2014. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the Marine Corps. Mr. Williams was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a retired logger and construction worker and was of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by his father, B J Williams. He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Williams of Shreveport, La.; loving wife of more than 29 years, Sandra Williams, of Harrison; loving children, Gregory "Todd" Williams, Eric Brandon Williams and Dana Kay "Lil Darlin" Anderson, all of Quitman, La; stepsons, Daniel Wayne Martin and John Paul Martin of Harrison; stepdaughter, Melissa Roach, of East Brainerd; brother, Bobby Lewis Williams, of Idaho; sisters, Gladys Lorraine Williams, of Greenwood, La. and Glenda Ann Curthis, of Benton, La.; 21 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many friends. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev Lloyd Harvill officiating. Interment will be private.
