Thacker, 74, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Ann Wallain; parents, Edward and Bonnie Mae Thacker; brother, Bill Thacker; sister. Vera Mae Rollins. Those left to cherish his memories are his children, John Thacker, of Murfreesboro, Steven Thacker, of Whitwell and William Lewis Thacker, of Pikeville, Ky.; sister, Jerline Akers, of Whitwell; grandchildren, Christine, Katie, Kendall and Daniela. Family will receive friends noon-8 p.m. today, March 5, 2014. Funeral services 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Hershel Powell officiating.
