Joan Fickey

LaFayette Mrs. Joan "Pete" Johnson Fickey, 68, of went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Pete was born to the late Edgar and Alpina Johnson on Oct. 8, 1945. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Fickey; son, Wayne Fickey; and brothers, Dale and Lennis Johnson. Survived by daughter, Tammy Davis; grandchildren, Travis (Heather) Cline, Hailey and Mason Davis, all of Cleveland, Tenn., and Ryan Fickey of LaFayette; sisters, Polly (Donnie) Parrish, of Chickamauga, Margaret McWhorter, Pat (Harry) Scott, and Star House, all LaFayette; brothers, Joe (Nell) Johnson, of Goldethwaite, Texas, Leon (Juanita) Johnson, Steve Johnson, all of LaFayette, and Leland (Pam) Johnson, of Chickamauga. Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel Monday at 2 p.m. with Pastor R.D. Wallin and Pastor William Harris Officiating. Pallbearers are Randy Johnson, Ronnie McClure, Tim Fickey, Kevin McKenzie, Jerry Day, and Homer Patterson. Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
