Robbie Bennett

Robbie Bennett Robbie Sue Bennett, 82, passed peacefully from this life on March 4, 2014 after a gradual decline in health. She was cared for by her sisters June and Faye during the last days of her life. Robbie was born in Decatur, Tenn. but has been living in Chattanooga since 1978 after traveling the world with her husband Bill while serving in the Air Force. She was the secretary of the American Polygraph Association national office for 29 years, a position that she took very seriously and helped everyone she could. She is highly regarded by everyone who met her. She was a longtime member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga. Robbie is survived by her sisters June Brown and Faye Ross; brother-in-law, Tommy W. Brown; her nephews, Bobby Barnes (Brenda), Billy Barnes (Jenny), Terry Barnes (Virginia); and her nieces, Michelle Theriault (Ray), Tammy Hudgins (Roy), Dawn Evans (Steve) and Paige Stone (Geoff). Six great-nephews and six great -nieces. Three great-great nephews and two great-great nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her sister Marie Dobbs (Dewey), nephews Jimmy Dobbs and Bobby Dobbs and niece Teresa Dobbs. Her mother Edna Miller and father Robert Miller. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery 1200 Bailey Avenue Chattanooga, TN 37404.
