Dorothy Barnett

Dorothy Willett Barnett, 89, of Chattanooga and formerly of Atlanta, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Mrs. Barnett graduated from Commercial High School in Atlanta and attended Georgia State University. She worked for the Center for Disease Control and the Social Security Administration. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Samuel C. Barnett. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel R. and Andria Barnett; grandson, Matthew Joseph Barnett; sister-in law, Marge Pennington; brothers-in-law, Dave and John Barnett; and multiple nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Pattersons Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at H.M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, 404-851-9900.
