Glenna Gribble

Glenna Maxine Gribble, 82, of Chattanooga, departed this life Monday, March 10, 2014. She was born in Dalton, Ga., to the late Ben and Agnes Smith, and was a member of Calvary Church of God in Chattanooga for over 50 years and served as their treasurer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Ed" Gribble; daughter, Kimberly Cross; and siblings, Mary Belle Eslinger, John Smith and Felton Smith. Survivors include her children, Ginger (Bill) McAlpin, of Hixson, Lynn (Bobby) Tice, of East Ridge; siblings, Betty Payne, Christine Hicks, Benny (Glenda) Smith, all of Dalton, Ralph Smith of Macon, Ga.; grandchildren, Kim, Shawn, Mandy, Tonya, Autumn, Jeremy; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, in the chapel with the Rev. James Barker and Rev. William Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Family will receive friends from 3 until 8 p.m. today, all day Friday, and prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
