Christell Brown

Christell A. Brown, 95, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014. She was born in Chattanooga on Aug. 5, 1918, was a graduate of Chattanooga High School Class of 1936 and attended Friendship Community Church. She lived in Texas for 40 years before returning to Chattanooga and had worked for J.C. Penney for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Lendon Brown; parents, Russell and Alma Wyatt Earp; brother, Wyatt Earp; and sister, Virginia Hudgens. Survivors include sister, Nancy Earp Thompson; brother, J. Russell Earp Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, with a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
