Katherine Holder

Katherine Faye Holder, 91, joined her Lord and Savior Thursday, March 13, 2014. Born July 29, 1922 in Chattanooga, she was a resident of the wonderful and compassionate Shenandoah Nursing Home in Fishersville, Va., since 2009. She had retired after 30 years at Provident Life Insurance, and was a long time member of Red Bank Methodist Church, both in Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archy and Gertrude Sedman; twin brother, Grey Sedman; and son-in-law, Donald Pitts. Surviving are her daughter, Lynda Pitts, of Grottoes, Va.; grandson, Mac Pitts and wife, Laura; great-grandchildren, Greyson and McCall, all of Atlanta; granddaughter, Beth Lloyd and husband, Buddy; and great-granddaughter Meredith, all of Grottoes. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Fishersville UMC Cemetery by Pastor Gene Williams.
