Virgil Oldham Jr.

Virgil Walter Oldham Jr., 67, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday March 13, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga North Georgia area. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, was a former employee of U.S. Pipe and Foundry where he worked as an Industrial Environmentalist and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Walter Oldham Sr. and Mildred Lou Pierce Oldham; and sister, Carolyn Spurling. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Deborah "Deb" Cagle Oldham, of Ringgold; son, Dennis Oldham, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; sister, Barbara Brown, of Ringgold; brother, James Oldham, of Rossville, Ga., several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Randy Chesnutt and the Rev. Gurney Beard officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today until funeral time at the funeral home. An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
