Willie James Thompson, 84, formerly of Atlanta, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, in a local health care facility. He was a retired truck driver from Mason-Dixon. He was preceded in death by his brother, L.C. Thompson; and son, Glenn Thompson. Survivors include his daughters, Glenda Thompson, of Chattanooga and Cheryl (Dennis) Glover, of Atlanta; son, Keith Thompson, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Tamela Williams Parker, Adrianna Glover, Danielle Glover and Yancy Morton; great-grandchildren, Cierra, Erica and Eric Parker; many other relatives and friends. Visitation is at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Taylor Funeral with the funeral to follow at noon with Pastor Billy McKillop as the eulogist. Burial: Highland Memorial Gardens.
