William Eveans

William "Heavy-D" Jerome Eveans, 55, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Jerome is a member of the LaFayette Church of God, where he was the choir director and he also sang with the group "Glorious Tones". He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Eveans; brother, Willie Brown; and stepson, Phillip Ellis. Survived by loving wife, LaRae Eveans, of Noble; daughter, Dunyetta (Jeffery) Walker, of Chattanooga; sons, Nathan Royal, of Chattanooga and Jake Ellis, of Noble; sisters, Lena (Tommy) Fuget and Virginia Eveans, all of Chattanooga; brothers, George Eveans, of Chattanooga, and Darryl Lewis, of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Kauri, Gaige, Michael, Kalia, Nya, Natiana, Nadiya, Caden, Psalm, Amaya, Miles and Mahalia. Funeral from the LaFayette Church of God at 1 p.m. today with Pastor Jeremy Singletary officiating. Interment in LaFayette Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at the church from noon today until service time. The arrangement are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
