Helen Harrington

Helen Harrington, 98, of Jasper, passed away, Sunday, March 23, 2014. She had been a residence of Jasper for the past 43 years after moving from Humboldt, TN. She retired from teaching at the Learning Center in Jasper and was of the Methodist faith. Her husband, Wayne. H. Harrington, parents, Nat and Leila Porter, and brothers, Nathan and Hampton Porter all preceded her in death. Mrs. Harrington is survived by her son, Wayne N. Harrington, of Cookeville, TN; daughter, Judith Harrington Sartain (Marshall) of Jasper, TN ; sister, Evelyn Harrington, of Calvert City, KY; 3 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. CDT, Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, TN on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. CDT, with Pete Hoseman officiating.
