Doris Nelson

Doris June Nelson, 86, of Lookout Valley, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014. She was a housewife for many years and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertie Burrow; son, Virgil Bullock; daughter, Patricia Smith; granddaughter, Carla Blake; grandson, Charles "Chuck" Rankin; stepson, Jim Nelson; brothers, Buddy Burrow, Robert Burrow and Donald Burrow; sisters, Frances Thomas and Martha Smith. She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Miller and Dorothy Hale; stepson, Jeff Nelson; grandson, Jeffery Nelson; granddaughters, Misty Tudors and Christy Moosa; great-grandchildren, Seth Norris, Cara Blake; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, March 27, 2014, in the Advantage Chapel with Brother Billy Rankin officiating. The family will receive friends noon until 2 p.m. today at the Advantage Chapel. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery immediately following the service.
