Robert Lovett

Robert Charles Lovett, 63, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014. He had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of his life and was of the Christian faith. He was a U.S.M.C. Veteran of the Vietnam War and was previously employed with Village Volvo, Volkswagen and BMW for many years as a mechanic. He was a perfectionist at heart and enjoyed cooking, spending time with his family and friends, but more than anything he adored his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cecil Lovett; brother, Steve Holder and grandfather, William Henry Lovett. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 41 years, Gwendolynn Holland Lovett; daughter, Tammy Lynn Lovett; son, James William Lovett, all of Rossville; sister, Diane Holder Reece, of Elijay, Ga.; two grandchildren, Desota Allison Lovett and Kaylee Diane Kidd; soon to be grandson, Baby Boy Lovett; special niece, Millie Reece and numerous extended family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Shawn Coker officiating.
