Louis Howard Sr.

Louis Howard Sr., 79, passed on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1932 to the late Henry Ball and Cora Howard in Birmingham, Ala. He was a devout Christian and a member of Olivet Baptist Church, where he served on the usher and transportation ministries. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife, Juanita Knowles Howard; caring and supportive daughters, Kenya Howard, both of Chattanooga, and Lisa Scott, York, Pa.; sons, Louis Howard Jr., Willie Howard, David Howard and John Howard, all of Chattanooga, Romell Howard, York, Pa.; loving cousin, Ollie Mae Corder, Detroit, Mich. Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Olivet Baptist Church, Pastor Kevin Adams Sr. officiating. Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Homes, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
