Martha Westburg

Martha P. Westburg, of Hixson, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, after a long illness. She was 91 years old. Martha was born in Eureka, S.D., and was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. She was retired from J.C. Penney with over 25 years of service. Martha was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church where she participated in the quilting group, handled the flower arranging and was active in the Lutherans Women Mission League. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Lee Westburg. Martha is survived by her daughters, Terry (Bobby) Ambrester; Betty (Doug) Riddle and her son, Gene (April) Westburg; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ella Kramlich; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Martha will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Barry Hildebrandt officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
