Donald Herron

Donald K. Herron, 75, died in a Chattanooga hospital Thursday, March 27, 2014. Mr. Herron was born May 12, 1938 in Sequatchie County. He graduated from Sequatchie County High School in 1957. He had been a member of the church of Christ for 42 years. He retired from Combustion Engineering. He was one of the founding members of Southend Volunteer Fire Department and Daus Community Center. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Hytha Johnson Herron; brothers, Ray Herron, Frank Herron and Charles Herron; sisters, Sue Herron Johnson and Lois Herron Rogers. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Phillips Herron, Dunlap; sons, Kevin (Shelley) Herron, Harrison, Ken (Tonya) Herron and Keith (Leah) Herron, Dunlap, grandchildren, Jared, Riley, Jarrett, Sam, Kate, Allee, John Jackson and Carolina; brother, Gene (Janie) Herron, Rising Fawn, Ga.; sisters, Mae (George) Martin and JoAnn (Jerry) Triplett, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. CDT today, March 30, 2014, in Ewton Funeral Howe chapel with minister Freddie Clayton officiating. Burial in Condra Cemetery.
