Wiley Daffron

Wiley Ernest Daffron, 68, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. He worked his entire adult life in the trucking industry and was a proud member of Teamsters (Local 515). He retired from Yellow Freight Systems. He loved fishing, camping and traveling with his grandchildren for their many activities throughout their youth and was an avid Howard Tigers basketball fan. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all. He was predeceased by his wife, Trudy Ann Daffron; sister, Letha Daffron; and mother, Annie Daffron. Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Daffron; granddaughters, Jessica Daffron, Emily Hodge and Alisha Hodge; special grandsons, Robert Coleman, Cortez Smiley and Tommy Fuget IV; great-grandchildren, Jaylee, Ja'Liyah, Kadarius Jr., Wyatt, Emori and Ma'Kiyah and lifelong friend, Marcie (Mike) Goodgame. His family will be holding a memorial celebration on May 16, 2014 at the Chattanooga Riverpark on Amnicola Highway starting at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to: Howard High School Athletic Department, 2500 S.
