Jane Colbert

Jane Colbert, 75, of Hixson, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Colbert owned and operated her own bead shop in Hixson for many years and was a member of Mile Straight Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Leonard. Survivors include her husband, Luke Colbert; son, Jeff Colbert; daughters, Cindy (Michael) Hindmon and Jill (Bob) Praznik; brothers, Carlton (Betty) Peeples and Tom (Cindy) Peeples; sister, Ruth (Bill) Woods; grandchildren, Felicia (Aaron) Jones, Crystal Layne and Lee Layne; great-grandchildren, Zachary Morris, Aspen Layne, Kinsley Jones and Devon Jones. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Mile Straight Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Goss and Dr. Albert Goss officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Mile Straight Baptist Church, Missions Fund, 8448 Springfield Road Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
