June Hoback

June Malstrom Hoback, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 3, 2014. She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. to the late Ed and Lucille Malstrom and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Chattanooga and was previously employed with Buster Brown and Sears and Roebuck for many years. She enjoyed reading, traveling and loved animals and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted friend, wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Hoback. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and (Darlene) Lane of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; daughter, Karen Martin and (Dick Baumunk), of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, Carl Wayne and (Shelly) Malstrom, of Anderson, S.C.; four grandchildren, Jennifer and (Brian) Poteet, Sarah and (Kris) Kubler, Danielle and (Jeff) Harris and Cory and (Sandy) Martin; two great grandchildren, Alana Martin and Maddie Kubler; niece, Carla Sue Evans and nephews, Garrell Wayne Malstrom and Edwin Carl Malstrom. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Brother Jason Thomas officiating.
