Grover Greene

Grover "Sonny" Greene, 70, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at his home. He was the owner of Greene Construction Co., a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #466 where he was a Past Master and served as secretary for 25 years. His passions in life were his family and farming. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Greene; stepdaughter, Robin Crisp; and parents, Grover and Mary Greene. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Greene; son, Tray Greene; stepchildren, Krystie Richard, Krystal Tackett, Janet Lynn Tackett and Michael Tackett; grandsons, T. J., Ricky Lee, Paige, Daniel, John; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Phoebe Greene. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Arrangements by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
