Monroe Hudson Jr.

Monroe Fred Hudson Jr., 86, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Chattanooga. He was a graduate of the 1946 class of Howard High School, where he was also appointed captain of the football team. Fred was retired from Mueller Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Fred Hudson Sr. and Almarine Canty Hudson; siblings, Helen Jones, Charles Hudson, Catherin Calhoun, Doris Cummings and Joseph Hudson; and son-in-law, Reginald Thomas. Survivors include his daughters, Janis Hudson Thomas and Anita Hudson (Dexter) Talley; grandchildren, Monica Talley, Shauna Thomas, Duana Talley, Dexter Talley Jr. and Monique Thomas; a host of great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, family and friends; special nephew, Gregory Monroe Hudson.
