Frances Shipley

Frances Loraine Shelton Shipley, 95, of East Brainerd Community, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, in a local healthcare facility. Frances retired from Bellsouth as a telephone operator after 35 years of service, and was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be missed by al who knew and loved her. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Archie L. Shipley; son, Lamar Shipley; and grandson, Scott Shipley. Survivors include her grandchildren, Lisa (Ronnie) Pryor and Mark Shipley; great-grandchildren, Heather Shipley, Nakota Culver, Warren (Melinda) Shipley and Rikki Shipley. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, in the chapel with burial to follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. today and Wednesday at the funeral home.
