Gordon Kinser

Gordon Russell "Shorty" Kinser, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at his home with his family by his side. He was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Quaker Oats Co. after 36 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ada and Gordon Kinser; sister, Grace Kinser McClure; brothers, J.L., Gene and Kenneth Kinser. Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Elva Lee Kinser; daughter, Vickie (Rob) Varnell; brother, Rankin (Mae) Kinser; sisters, Sarah Axley and Ada Casteel; grandsons, Michael (Melissa) Varnell and Brian (Linda) Varnell. Great grandchildren, Trenton, Brooklyn, Madalyn, Emma, Olivia "Little Bit" and Camilla and special love sent to Dianne from your "Rich Uncle". Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. today May 13, 2014, at Heritage Chapel with Rev. Bill Mason, officiating. The interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
