Johnnie Poe

Johnnie Joyce Poe, 86, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Life Care Center of Red Bank. Johnnie was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Home Folks Restaurant in Soddy-Daisy as a cook. Johnnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Poe; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Peanut Housley. Johnnie is survived by her sons, Jerry (Carolyn) Poe and Ricky (Sherry) Poe; brother and sister-in-law, Spencer (Linda) Cook; sister and brother-in-law, Sue (Jerry) Peliham; grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew and Nicholas Poe, Robin and Mark Stallings, James and Bonnie Blackwell, Edward and Ashley Blackwell; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Regan and Cooper Stallings, Jaden and Bryley Blackwell, Kutler and Karrah Blackwell. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, May 14, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel and Thursday, May 15, from 11 until the time of service. Funeral service for Johnnie will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow to Chattanooga National Cemetery.
