Leonard Gross

Leonard Floyd Gross, 93, went home to be with his Lord, Monday May 12, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, deacon of Grace Baptist Church and charter member of the Beersheba Springs Rescue Squad and Fire Department. He was born in Gross Cove on April 7, 1921 to John and Frances King Gross who preceded him in death along with his wife, Loretta Walker Gross; sisters, Ollie Bell Tate, Stella Coppinger, Helen Wanamaker, Elizabeth and Beatrice Gross; brothers, Fred and J.L. Gross. He is survived by his son, Rev. Johnny (Diane) Gross; daughter, Linda (Donald) Boyd; grandchildren, Chris Boyd, Tracy Jennings, Kim Fults and Amanda Eubanks; 10 loving great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Grace Baptist Church with Ministers Johnny Gross and Dwight Walker officiating with burial to follow in Grace Chapel Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
