James Burnum

James Robert Burnum, 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at his home. James worked as a general labor with Atlas Co. He was of the Baptist faith. James was a member of the VFW Post 4848 and American Legions Post 95. James served in the United States Air Force. James was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ressie Burnum; three brothers, Roy, Kenneth and Hubert Burnum. James is survived by his wife, Shirley Burnum; sons, Michael and Mark Burnum; sister, Catherine "Cat" and Henry Potter. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today, May 15, 2014, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel and on Friday from 10:30 until time of serivce. Funeral services for James will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Henry Potter and Jerry Watkins officiating.
