B. G. Howell

Howell, 84, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of White Bluff. Mr. Howell owned and operated B.G. Howell Seed and Sod Company and was a partner in CHW Landscaping of Crossville, Tenn. He enjoyed raising cattle on his Howell Century Farm, hunting, fishing and traveling. He was former owner of the Apple Bin & Howells Orchard. Mr. Howell is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bobbie J.Howell; daughters, Marcia Howell (Harold) Bibb, of Dunlap, Tenn., and Judy Howell (Michael) Woodard, of White Bluff; granddaughters, Heather Bibb (Maj. James A.) Zanella, of Columbus, Ga., Wendy Bibb (Maj. Brian) Sykes, of Fort Polk, La., and Kelly Garrett (Christopher) Bullington, of Nunnelly, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren, Clark and Grayson Zanella, Samantha and Nathan Sykes and Bailey Bullington. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.T. "Pete" and Nellie Aldridge Howell; sister, Avis Larkins; and brothers, Edward and Roy Lee Howell, all of White Bluff. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today, May 17, 2014 and Sunday 10 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home.
