Lucille Sartin

Lucille "Granny" Sartin, 94, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2014. She was a member of Victory Basptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest F. Sartin Sr.; parents, John Willis and Georgia Holcomb; sisters, V Lee Morton, Evelyn Hardeman, Sarah Holcomb, Ovaline Holcomb; brothers, Clarence Holcomb and Willis Holcomb; grandson, Ben Smith; great-granddaughter, Heather Vandagriff; sons-in-law, Albert Foster and John Nunnelley. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Wanda (B.E.) Smith, of Nashville, Ind., Wilda Foster, Nelda (Jr.) Layne, Sandra Nunnelley, all of Whitwell, Ernie (Sarah) Sartin, of Rocky Face, Ga.; brother, Cordell Holcomb, of Whitwell; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Family will receive friends 11 a.m.-3 p.m. today, May 17, 2014. Funeral service 3 p.m. today, May 17, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gary Tipton, Rev. Travis Watson and Chaplain Jack Nichols officiating. Interment to follow at Red Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice at Home Health of East Tennessee.
