Robert Everett Bostrom 71, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 11, 2014, in a local healthcare facility. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was an evangelist with true revival and spiritual awakening, was a loving husband, father and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. Bob always had a servants heart and loved the John 3:16 verse "For God So Loved the World He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life". Survivors include his wife of 42 years Carol Burnap Bostrom; son, Vince Pyle and his wife, Amy; close friends, John Michal and Terry Jones. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. today, May 18, 2014, at Westside Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe. Private family entombment was held on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family wants to thank Pastor Gary T. Moore and the Westside Baptist Church for their love and support shown during Mr. Bostroms illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritans Purse.
