Zell Woods

LaFAYETTE Zell Gore Woods, 89, died Monday, May 19, 2014. Mrs. Woods was born March 21, 1925, to the late Edward and Jewel Shirah Gore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerrond Woods. Mrs. Woods was a member of The LaFayette First Baptist Church. Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and wife Cathy Woods, of Lilburn, Ga., and Jimmy and wife, Annette Woods, of LaFayette; grandchildren, Amy (Ben) Carroll, Kerry (Kelley) Woods, Lance (Rachel) Woods; great-grandchildren, Luke Woods, Maghan Woods, Carter and Judson Woods, and Macey and Will Carroll; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LaFayette First Baptist Church. Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday with Dr. Todd Gaddis and Pastor Joel Miller officiating. Interment in LaFayette Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. The arrangement are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
