Helen Heffington

Helen Boyd Womack Heffington, 94, born April 29, 1920, "Nanny" known by many earned her heavenly reward Wednesday, May 21, 2014. She lived a long wonderful life and was a kind spirit to everyone who crossed her path. She worked as a CNA at Erlanger Hospital. She was an active member of White Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Delia Womack; husband, Aubrey Andy Heffington; son, Jimie Heffington; daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Heffington; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Carole) Heffington, Gene (Katherine) Heffington; daughter-in-law, Jerry Heffington; sister, Sue (J.W.) Holland; grandchildren, Vandy Rutherford, Alisha (Tom) Smith, David (Chris) Heffington, J.R. Heffington, Kevin Heffington and Lori Heffington; great-grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Songer, Ashley DeMary, Hannah Smith, Reaghan Gough, Lindsay Gough, Roseanna (Tim) Miller, Nikki Rutherford, Adam Heffington, Whitney (Aaron) Sewell, Josh (Kelly) Heffington and Dylan Heffington; great-great-grandchildren, Krisily Songer, Haiven Miller, Tommy Miller, Tallen Miller, Kaylee Moore, Amelia Sewell and Peyton Heffington; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tony Wilson and Rev. David Burkhart officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with grandsons, David Heffington, Kevin Heffington, Josh Heffington, J.R. Heffington, Dylan Heffington, Chris Songer and Artie Graden serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
