Eugene Borden, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving in W.W. II. He was also a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church and was retired from Collins and Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Lillian M. Borden. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Borden; two daughters, Nancy (Andy) Andrews, Chattanooga and Libby Simpson, Knoxville; stepson, Doug Harden, Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Drew (Dianna) Andrews, Whitney Andrews and Katie (Greg) Tanner; sister, Martha Roberts, Knoxville; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Sunset Memory Gardens in Cleveland with Dr. Jay McClusky officiating.
