Roy Hatfield

Roy Alex Hatfield, age 72, formerly of Sulphur Springs, Ala. died early Saturday Morning May 24, 2014. He was a retired truck driver employed by Bryant Trucking of Chatsworth, GA. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Roy "Buddy" and Dora Ramsey Hatfield; brothers, Marvin "Junior" Hatfield; Phillip Richard "Rickey" Hatfield. Surviving are son, Phillip (Kimberly Johnson) Hatfield, of Dalton, Ga.; grandson, Tyler Allen Hatfield, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sisters, Leona "Suzie" Davis, of Chickamauga, Ga., Thelma Frazier, of Chickamauga, Ga., Darlene Johnson, of Ider, Ala.; sister-in-law, Gaynell Hatfield, of Ider, Ala.; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. EDT today, May 25, 2014 in the chapel with the Rev. James Grindsaff officiating. Interment will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Valley Head, Ala.
