Nadean Thrap

Nadeane Thrap Faye Nadean Thrap, of Signal Mountain, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. Nadean was born to parents, Arthur Earl Weir and Edna May Hull Weir in Decatur County, Kan., and attended high school in Beatrice, Neb. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Billy Dale Weir, of Louisville, Ky.; her husband of 67 years, Donald Kirk Thrap, also of Louisville; and her daughter, LaDonna Thrap O'Nan (husband Bob), of Shelbyville, Ky. Nadean was devoted to God, family and others. She loved children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught Sunday School to pre-schoolers at Jeffersontown, Ky., United Methodist Church and worked with the Christian Womens Club in various capacities throughout the Louisville area. She is survived by her daughter, Deanna T. Henon (husband Jesse), of Signal Mountain; grandchildren, Todd Henon (wife, Beth) and Kirk Henon (wife, Robbin), also of Signal Mountain, Jessica H. Vaughn (husband, Alan), of Madison, Ala.; Susan O. Watts (husband, David), of Shelbyville, Ky.; Phillip O'Nan, of Sarasota, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Tori and Hunter Henon, of Signal Mountain, and Ellie and Claire Watts, of Shelbyville, Ky. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care (1045 W. Main St., Monteagle, TN 37356) or the charity of your choice. A graveside service attended by family was held on May 25, at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery in Centerfield, Ky.
