Conrad Sarver

Conrad Giesen Sarver, 84, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Conrad was a resident of Ringgold for 20 years and member of Burning Bush Baptist Church. He enjoyed church activities, singing in the Primetime Choir, and meeting with friends in the Young at Heart senior group. More than anything Conrad loved when his entire family gathered with everyone spending time together. In his free time he enjoyed working in the yard and going for walks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Chicago Carpenters Union for 52 years. Survivors are his loving wife of 57 years, Martha Sarver; daughters, Cindy Sarver, Louisville, Ky., Connie (Sherman) Britton, Atlanta, Amy (Ted) Gocke, Ringgold; sister, Ida Lofstrom, Navarre, Fla.; brothers, Robert Sarver, Lincoln, Calif., Richard Sarver, Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Brandee Soeder, Gabrielle, McDonnell, Louisville, Ky., Amber Britton, Atlanta, Ashley Britton, Los Angeles, Calif., Lauren Gocke, Ringgold, Trevor Gocke, Ringgold, and Chipper Gocke, Ringgold; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Carter, and Beck McDonald, and Bailee and Dillion Soeder. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Ted Gocke and Rev. Colin Crosen officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
