Dennis Taylor

Dennis Reynolds Taylor, 67, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was born in Madisonville, Tenn., and then lived in Rockford, Ill., before moving to the North Georgia area in 1982 and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S.M.C. Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was a Combat Engineer and was the recipient of the Purple Heart as well as the Presidential Citation Award. He was a Skydiving Jump Master who loved animals, birds and spending time with his family. He was also the owner and operator of Taylor Heating & Cooling for more than 20 years before retiring in 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Taylor; and mother, Catherine Reynolds Leamon. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 31 years, Gloria Goins Leamon, of Rossville; son, Eddy Leamon, of McMinnville, Tenn.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger (Donnice) Goins, of Cloudland, Ga., Terry (Crystal) Goins, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Pat (Kimbra) McDougale, of Rossville; mother-in-law, Betty Lacy and numerous extended family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Michael Dunwoody officiating.
