Sharon Irish

Sharon Stapp Irish, 68, of Chattanooga, died Monday, May 26, 2014. She was born May 9, 1946 in Chattanooga to the late James and Euleen Young Stapp. She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery. For many years she was active in the Chattanooga Track Club. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Terry Irish; sister, Ann (Johnny) Risher; mother-in-law, Naomi Irish; nephews and niece, Eddie Lee, Adam (Teri) Risher, Jennifer Paxton, Lyle Dennis (Patricia) Irish, Michael Douglas Irish and Christopher Robert (Jennifer) Irish; great-niece and nephews, John Paxton, Conner Paxton, Brody Paxton, Samantha Risher, Parker Irish and Skye Irish. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. today at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Plumlee and Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Ooltewah Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgedale Baptist Church Building Fund.
