Gerald Grimes

Gerald J. "Gerry" Grimes went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 29 at his residence. Mr. Grimes is survived by his wife, Martha Haggard Grimes; children, Danny Pardue (Sharon), Lynn Neal (Dennis), Vicki Pardue, Ginger Schultz(Bernie); grandchildren, Jessie Pardue, Tifinie Hise, Nikki Sutton, D. J. Pardue, Erica Castleberry, Kenneth Cochran, Adam Cochran, Katie Johnson and Kayla Johnson; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Campbell; brothers, Wayne Grimes, Everette Grimes, Earnest Grimes. Mr. Grimes was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Florence Swartz Grimes; brothers, Ira Grimes, Floyd Grimes Jr.; sisters, Kate Dunn, Mary Manning, Hilda Craig and Rebecca Grimes. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. A member of the Shiloh Nazarene Church, a 32nd-degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a retired heavy equipment operator. Funeral services are Sunday at 1:30 p.m. CDT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayland Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Gap cemetery with military honors. Family will receive friends today from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. until service time.
