Jimmy Hickman Jr.

Jimmy George Hickman Jr., 58, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014. Jimmy was a 1973 graduate of Central High School. He was a member of Abbas House (Central Baptist) and a very committed Christian. Jimmy loved fishing and was an avid UT fan, also he was a retired Sears employee. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Javota Layne Hickman; maternal grandparents, Robert O. Layne and Beatrice Layne; and paternal grandparents, James Hickman and Estelle Hickman. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Laura Hickman; father, Jimmy G . (Joyce) Hickman Sr.; brother, Michael Hickman; and several aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. today, May 31, 2014, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ken Hartley and Pastor Allen Crider officiating. Interment will follow to Lakewood Memorial Gardens, East.
