Ruby Shropshire

Ruby Lee Butts Shropshire, 93 passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at a local healthcare facility. She attended Chattanooga Public Schools and graduated from Chattanooga Community College. She worked with Human Services and Senior Neighbors for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Butts; husband, Duke Shropshire and other family members. Survivors include her nephew, Samuel L. (Shirley) Moore; other nieces, nephews, friends and special caregiver, Martha R. Brown and family. Graveside services will be today at noon at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:3010:30 this morning at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
