Jeffery Estes

Jeffery Max Estes, 40, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 2, 2015, while doing the job he loved down in Florida. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Christian faith. He graduated from Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School Class of 92 and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of IBEW Local #175 since 1994 and was currently contracted with Service Electric Company. He was a Journeyman Lineman for more than 15 years and was also certified as a Bare Hand Lineman. He loved his job especially helping others in their times of need. He was a loving and devoted son, husband and father who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Max and Thelma Cook and Thomas and Jessie Estes; and great-grandmother, Josephine Henderson. Survivors include his loving wife, Jennifer "Jen" Estes, of Ringgold, Ga.; parents, Gary and Martha Estes, of Rossville; two children, Natasha Estes, of Dalton, Ga., and Cole Estes, of Ringgold; and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Minister Chris Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
