Chuck Ballew

Charles "Chuck" Ballew of Harrison, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, April 17, 2015. He was born in Chattanooga on Nov. 9, 1956, to Ray and Betty Ballew. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Debbie Ballew. He has two sons and two daughters, Kenny Newsom, Chris Newsom, Gina Newsom and Christi Ballew. He leaves behind six grandchildren, whom he loved very much, Madison, Kailee, Matthew, Patrick, Christopher, and Ethan. Chuck also is survived by three nieces, Leann, Jordan, and Meghan. He leaves behind a very special friend, Jeff Wheeler. Chuck was an avid baseball fan and loved the Atlanta Braves. He loved racing, muscle cars, and the color blue. A funeral service is planned for 7 p.m. today April 21, 2015, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW. The family will also be receiving friends two hours prior from 5 until the 7 p.m. service time.
