Ruby Buckels

Ruby Ingram Buckels, 94, of Hixson, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. Ruby was a lifelong resident of Hixson. She was a member of Red Bank Presbyterian Church, Past Matron with Red Bank Eastern Star. Ruby was an alumnus of Erlanger School of Nursing. She was retired from U. S. Pipe where she was a nurse. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Agnes Dowlen; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Helen Dowlen; and sister, Edna Dowlen. Ruby is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jannie Ingram; grandchildren, Wendy Ingram Smith, husband Paul, and Sam Ingram, wife Shanell; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Micah and Liam Ingram; step-great grandsons, Brantley and Bronson Smith. The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with Shel Sullivan officiating.
