Bertha Minor

Bertha Irene "Bert" Minor, 76, from the New Salem Community, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015. She worked at Shop Rite, Cavalier Corporation and Food Lion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lorena Dickerson Kennimer; brothers, Paul Kennimer and Teddy Kennimer. Surviving include her loving husband, William Frank Minor of Rising Fawn; sons, Randall (Deborah) Minor of Lookout Mountain, and Russell Minor of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Jonathan Minor, Grace (Clayton) Smith, both of Lookout Mountain, Joshua Minor of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Maranda Minor of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Nancy Freeman of Trenton, Ga.; brother, John R. Freeman of Sand Mountain; also several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at New Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Jodi Ihfe officiating.
